Last week, Kees Brouwer and I attended Extreme Connect 2026 in Orlando — together with Franz Steinhauser and Michel Pluijm from our valued Extreme Networks customer ETZ.
It was an inspiring few days centered around Extreme Platform ONE, with AI taking center stage through new capabilities like Agent ONE Coworker and Agent ONE Operator. Beyond managing Extreme infrastructure, the platform now also supports third-party devices — making network management simpler at a time when finding experienced network professionals is becoming increasingly difficult.
A definite highlight was seeing the Audi Revolut Formula 1 Team car up close — Extreme Networks is a proud sponsor. Roy Verboeket and Dewald Botha gave us a fascinating walkthrough of how the Fabric Network is deployed in a real-world F1 environment. Especially impactful after experiencing the Miami F1 race live!
These real-world stories reinforce our choice of Extreme Networks and Fabric for designing and rolling out complex networks in healthcare and industry — with simplicity at the core.
The adoption of next-generation Wi-Fi 7 Access Points across the entire Extreme portfolio — including global models in the 6 GHz band — promises better performance for modern AI-driven environments, improved energy efficiency, and streamlined large-scale deployment and management.
And of course, the networking itself was exceptional — connecting with Paulo Ferrada, Edwin Renkema, Gos Hein van de Wouw, sustainability expert Amber Robert, and the one and only Norman Rice.
